What personal data junte keeps, why and for how long. We keep as little as we can and never sell personal data.

Who is responsible for your data
The person responsible for your data is Steve Brewer, who runs junte personally. For anything about your data, write to hola@junte.fit.
What we keep and why
You don't need an account to use junte. This is everything we keep, why, and for how long.
Your account
If you create an account, we keep your email address, your language and, if you give it, your name. We use them so you can sign in and so we can write to you about your account. The legal basis is our contract with you: without them we can't give you a junte account. We keep them for as long as you have the account. If you want it deleted, write to us and we'll delete it.
Your trainer profile
If you create a trainer profile, we keep what you put in it: your name, pronouns, photo, introduction, city and neighbourhoods, disciplines, languages, prices, availability, the studios where you teach and the qualifications you declare, with their registration number, which we never show. We use it to show your profile to the people you choose and, once the jobs board arrives, to tell you about listings if you ask us to. The legal basis is your consent: you decide what you publish and who sees it, and you can change it or unpublish it whenever you like. We only use your data for research if you agree to that separately, and we only publish figures covering at least 5 trainers. We keep it for as long as you have the profile. If you want it deleted, write to us and we'll delete it.
If you claim a studio
We keep which of the studio's addresses we sent the code to, or what you tell us if you ask for a review by hand or add a studio, along with the studio details you give us, when it was verified, and that you run the studio. If the studio already has owners, we tell them which account asked for access. That email tells the studio which account asked, so it knows who is claiming it. We use this to know who can manage each studio on junte. The legal basis is the contract: without it we can't give you access to the studio. We keep it for as long as you run the studio. If you delete your account, we take your name and that address off the claim, and keep only a record that the studio was claimed.
If you're invited to manage a studio
We keep your email address to send you the invitation and know whether you accept it. It's given to us by the person inviting you, who runs the studio. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in letting studios organise their team. We delete the invitation 30 days after it expires.
Sign-in emails
When you ask for a sign-in link, we keep the email address and language of the request so we can send you the link and code. We delete it after a day, whether you use it or not.
Sessions
When you sign in, we keep the IP address and browser you signed in from. They keep you signed in, protect your account and show you where you're signed in. They're deleted when you sign out, or after 30 days at most. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure.
Studio visits and booking clicks
We count how often each studio's page is viewed and how often someone taps to book, so we can tell each studio how its page is doing. We don't use cookies for this. We keep a scrambled fingerprint made from your IP address, your browser and a key that changes every day, so we can't recognise you from one day to the next or tell who you are. These records are deleted after 30 days, leaving only daily totals. The legal basis is our legitimate interest.
Emails you send us
If you write to hola@junte.fit, we keep your message and address so we can reply. They're deleted after 30 days.
Server logs
Like any website, our server logs each visit with its IP address, to spot errors and abuse. Our hosting provider keeps these logs for a limited time and then deletes them.
Who we share data with
Only the providers we need to run the site, and only what each of them needs:
- Railway, our hosting. The site and its database run on servers in the European Union.
- Postmark, which sends our emails and receives the ones you send us.
- Sentry, which tells us when something breaks on the site. We don't send it IP addresses or cookies.
- Google, for Google Analytics, only if you accept it (see Cookies below).
- OpenStreetMap: when you open a map, your browser loads the map images straight from the OpenStreetMap Foundation's servers, which see your IP address.
Railway, Postmark, Sentry and Google are US companies, and the OpenStreetMap Foundation is in the UK, so some data can leave the European Union. When it does, it's covered by the safeguards the General Data Protection Regulation requires.
We never sell personal data or share it with anyone else, including other companies owned by the person who runs junte.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, take a copy, limit how we use it or object to us using it, and withdraw any permission you've given us at any time. Write to hola@junte.fit and we'll reply within a month.
If you think we're not handling your data properly, you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, Spain's data protection authority.
Children
junte isn't meant for children under 14, and they shouldn't create an account.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. junte uses the ones it needs to work and, only if you accept them, Google Analytics cookies.
Necessary
- _junte_session: holds temporary details while you browse, such as which step of signing in you're on. Deleted when you close your browser.
- session_id: keeps you signed in. Lasts 30 days or until you sign out.
- analytics_consent: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Lasts 12 months.
Analytics
_ga and _ga_*: set by Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used most. Only set if you accept them, and they last up to 2 years. Google may process this data outside the European Union.
You haven't chosen yet whether to accept analytics cookies.
